Purchase Agreement

Software and hardware purchased from the Company Store (physical stores and on-line) is intended for personal or business use and/or limited gift giving only.

Approved Users may purchase software and hardware at the Company Store for others and be reimbursed for the actual purchase price paid at the Company Store. However, resale for profit (that is, for a price higher than the employee paid at the Company Store) is strictly prohibited. Trading or bartering of software or hardware purchased at the Company Store for other goods or services is also strictly prohibited, regardless of the value of the goods or services received. Company Store purchases are not meant to be used as currency.

Approved Users purchasing software and/or hardware for someone else, or giving it as a gift, are expected to instruct the recipient that he or she may not sell the software, or exchange it for other goods and/or services.

Any violation of this policy may lead to disciplinary action, including up to immediate termination of employment or account.

You are allowed to order 6 copies of any one title per day.
Additional orders made on the same day that exceed 6 of one title will be cancelled.

The Company store will only accept payment cards from the individual whose software/hardware limit is being utilized. We no longer accept payment from guests and/or friends purchasing against the individuals limit. You will no longer be able to change your sold to information (billing address) to another party. If your sold to (billing address) information needs to be changed back to reflect your personal payment card information please contact ecustomercare@corp-imaging.com

Do not ship to the Microsoft Mailroom, personal packages are not to be sent to or from the mailroom at Microsoft. Any incoming packages deemed personal are subject to return. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in adherence to this policy.

Digital downloads

How do digital downloads work?

Digital downloads are now available for many software products.

Products with a digital download option will have a selection on the product page for product type, you can then choose physical box or digital download. Add the item to your cart and complete checkout as normal.

Shortly after placing your order you will receive an email with your product key and a download link or instructions.

Can I purchase a digital download as a gift?

Yes.

Follow the instructions above to purchase a digital download. Once you receive the email with the product key you can share it with the recipient.

How do I retain M365, Xbox Game Pass, or other software subscription discounts if I am setup for auto-renewal within my account?

Turn off auto-renewal within your subscription billing settings. At the end of your subscription, you will login to the company store and purchase a new subscription code to renew your service.

How do I retain LinkedIn subscription discounts if I am setup for auto-renewal within my account?

Turn off auto-renewal within the subscription. At the end of your subscription, you will login to the company store and regenerate a new subscription code to renew your service for the following year.

Will the Windows 10 Software I purchased automatically upgrade to Windows 11?

The free upgrade to Windows 11 upgrade depends upon device compatibility. Many Windows 10 PCs will be capable of running Windows 11. Find out how to upgrade to Windows 11 here.

Friends and Family Pass

How do Friends and Family passes work?

Every fiscal year, you can issue up to 10 Friends and Family passes (passes expire along with your balance each fiscal year, and you can reactivate or send to 10 new friends)

Each pass allows your Friend or Family member to spend their own money, on $250 of digital downloads (at employee prices).

Your Friend or Family member will automatically receive $5* off their first purchase (at checkout) and once they make that purchase you will also receive a $5* discount code towards anything in the Online Company Store (via instant email, and yes of course we will let you stack them)

Friends and Family passes DO NOT impact your purchase balance

*Amount of discount will be equivalent to $5 USD based on the exchange rates used by the Company Store.

Can I issue a Friends and Family pass in countries where eCompanyStore is not available?

No. Friends and Family passes are only valid in countries where the Company Store benefit is active.

Alumni Program

What is the Alumni Program?

The Microsoft Alumni Network is a member organization — an impressive worldwide community of technologists, business professionals, users of great software, and passionate humans. We value our connection to Microsoft and believe we all can achieve more by staying connected.

How is the Employee Company Store connected to the Alumni Program?

Membership dues paid to join the Alumni Network offer you continued access to extra benefits you received as a Microsoft employee, including the ability to extend invitations to friends and family*.

Where can I access my Alumni discount?

Beginning July 1, 2024 Alumni Network members will only be able to get discounted software and hardware with their alumni membership through the online Company Store, where available globally.

Why can alumni no longer shop at the physical Microsoft Store’s

Over the last couple of years, we have made significant changes to our physical store landscape, and necessary investments in our online platform. These changes have reduced our physical store footprint by over 90% and equally reduced our inventory levels. Our online catalog gives you more access to our expanded digital download catalog as the latest and most in demand 1st party products, all this delivered directly to you! You can still visit our remaining locations in Redmond, NYC, London, and Australia to experience the latest products. How do I add Microsoft Extended Warranty (Complete) to my device purchase?

You can add complete to your device within 45 days of purchase. You must register your device against any personal email account before proceeding to add Microsoft Complete. At this time, Microsoft Complete protection plans are not available on Surface for Business devices purchased on the Company Store.

Do employees qualify for the Microsoft Store Online Trade-in Program?

Yes. Trade in your old used device-laptop, tablet, phone, or game console-and get cash back. If your old device isn't eligible for trade-in, we'll help you recycle it for free. *

Product Donations and Microsoft Match

Eligible employees can purchase products through the Company Store and donate the product(s) to eligible nonprofits to receive the Microsoft Give Match for the total amount paid for the item(s). It is permissible for the eligible organization to resell the product in an auction fundraising event (live or online) hosted by the organization. To request credit back to your annual Company Store limit for the purchase amount, please email ecustomercare@corp-imaging.com and send an electronic copy of your product purchase receipt and the confirmation you received from My Giving Portal when you submitted the product match request.

How do I redeem a Gift Certificate?

Use the Gift Certificates section to redeem your Gift Certificate.
You may apply a gift certificate to a current purchase or leave it in your account for future purchases.

  • Shop as you normally would; adding items to your shopping cart
  • When you're ready to purchase, select the gift certificate options on the payment page
  • Enter the gift certificate number and the authorization number
  • As you progress through the checkout process, you will be required to pay any sales tax and shipping charges, as necessary
  • You are responsible for any remaining balance due, payable by personal credit card

Shipping Process:

How long will it take for my order to ship?

Logo merchandise is normally shipped out of our warehouse within 24-48 hours of your order (excluding holidays and weekends). If an item is on back order or the order was placed over a weekend or holiday, shipment will be delayed.

Microsoft devices and accessories are shipped from the Microsoft warehouse within 48-72 hours of your order confirmation (2-3 business days)

Product availability - Microsoft devices and accessories:

Some Microsoft devices and accessories are sold on forward selling - meaning we have a future date for delivery, outside of standard delivery expectation. This function allows customers to purchase and book the product although delivery is not available immediately. These orders will be shipped in accordance with the dates shown on the website and are subject to change based on supply chain delays.

If a Microsoft product is temporarily out-of-stock, use the ‘Notify me when item is back in stock’ button to be notified via email of future availability.

Preorders on Microsoft Products fall under two categories:

  • Delivers by GA: The product will ship in advance and will be delivered on the date of general availability.
  • Ships by GA: The product will begin shipping on the date of general availability and will be received based on the standard FREE shipping method.

How do I know what date to expect my Microsoft Pre Order or Back Order?
All projected delivery dates are available when you move the product to cart and at checkout. You will receive a confirmation email when your order has shipped.

Product availability - Logo merchandise:

If an Apparel/Logo item is temporarily out-of-stock, it is placed on backorder. Your order is recorded, and once inventory is replenished and shipped, you will be notified. Approximate ship date on backorders will be 2-4 weeks based on manufacturer availability.

If an Apparel/Logo item is on preorder, the estimated delivery date will be communicated in the product display page. Your order is recorded, and once inventory is available and shipped, you will be notified.

How can I find my order status or tracking information?

You will receive email confirmation once you have placed your order. An additional notification will be sent once the item has been shipped. Order shipping confirmation and tracking will update and be made available in Order History. Up to date order status and tracking information can be found here.

Shipping and delivery information

Microsoft Store Warehouse business days are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding holidays. If you place an order on a weekend or holiday, or after 12pm PST, the order will be processed on the next business day.

Delivery times through Microsoft Store may take longer around holidays or due to circumstances out of our control. Our carriers don’t deliver on the weekend or holidays.

Notes:

  • Delivery times might vary for custom products.
  • If you have ordered multiple products, shipping, delivery, and invoice dates may vary. Use the Track option to monitor your orders.
  • Other shipping conditions may apply for certain products depending on your location.
  • All shipments from the United States Microsoft Store are subject to our carriers' terms and conditions.

The carrier will deliver only to the address provided in the order (ship to address). Changing the delivery address post purchase is not possible, and the address provided by the customer is the address used for delivery. No other addresses will be accepted.

What this means to customers:

Note: The carrier may not contact the customer to validate the correct address if it is invalid as printed on the label.

  • The ship-to address cannot be updated on the order after it is placed. If a wrong shipping address was selected.
  • If the customer omits key address details (for example, city or postal code), the order will not be delivered. The shipment is returned to Microsoft and a refund will be issued per standard process.
  • If the customer makes a mistake on the address (for example, mix up of postal code and city) the shipment is returned to Microsoft and a refund will be issued per standard process.
  • The CSS support team cannot change a delivery address. If the customer is not able to accept the delivery at the address on the order, the shipment will be returned to Microsoft and a refund issued per standard process.

Cost for shipping

When free shipping is offered, it will automatically be applied at checkout and be reflected in the shopping cart.

Shipping Destinations

Do you ship to military bases?

Yes, for Logo merchandise delivery may take up to 2 weeks.

Microsoft Store offers free Military (APO/FPO) Shipping for eligible products. Estimated delivery dates cannot be provided for shipping to APO/FPO addresses.

Some products may be excluded from shipping to APO/FPO addresses due to size, weight or material restrictions.

Do you ship to post office boxes?

Yes, we are able to ship most orders to post office boxes. During checkout, you will only see the shipping options available for your shipment.

Do you ship to personal mailboxes?

No. UPS requires a full street address and will leave the package on the doorstep.

Do you ship to rural route numbers?

Yes, however, it may take some extra time for the package to reach its final destination.

Can I send items to multiple addresses?

Yes, but separate orders must be placed for each shipping address.

Exchanges or Returns

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return online store logo merchandise, in its original packaging, within 90 days of receiving your shipment. Activated software or opened games cannot be returned unless defective.

How to Return Products

Return of Microsoft Hardware

  • Reach out to ecustomercare@corp-imaging.com to initiate the return process. Please provide the order # and the reason for the return request.
  • A return label will be provided to you and will be delivered to you via UPS.com.
  • When your return is received by the warehouse, your refund will be initiated. Please make sure to include the order # and reason for the return. Also include the customs paperwork provided for your return if applicable on the outside of the box when shipping your return.
  • We cannot process exchanges on Microsoft Hardware, only refunds. If you would like to order the item again you will proceed back to the online store to place a new order for the desired item.

Return of Apparel/Logo Merchandise

  • Return shipping on apparel/logo merchandise is only reimbursed if the product is being returned due to an error on our part (ie: flaw in workmanship, wrong item shipped) or in new condition and securely packaged and clothing is unwashed and unworn.
  • Logo merchandise and apparel can only be returned in new condition and securely packaged and clothing is unwashed and unworn.
  • Complete the ‘Return Form’ on the backside of the packing slip, which is enclosed with the package
  • Repackage the item in its original packing and include the packing slip.
  • Affix the return-shipping label (tear away form at bottom of the packing slip)

How do I know when my credit card has been credited?

In the Order History section, you will see your orders, and returns (with the return amount)
